When you search for a job online and would like to save your job searches or if you apply for a job online, we collect your Windows Live ID member name and registration information. When you apply for a job at Microsoft and go through our recruiting process, we also ask you for information that may include your:

| • | education history, |
| • | employment history, |
| • | compensation, |
| • | references, and |
| • | accreditations and licenses. |
We may also collect other information not listed depending on regional requirements and job duties. In some cases, as legally permitted and with additional notice to you, this may include information that may be considered sensitive.
Microsoft uses information it collects from you for human resources purposes. Human resources purposes include:
| • | identifying and contacting candidates; |
| • | evaluating candidates and making hiring decisions; |
| • | keeping records related to our hiring practices; and |
| • | preparing candidates for employment when a job has been offered and accepted. |
If you are hired as a Microsoft employee, this information may be used for additional employment and business purposes.
If you created an online profile, you may view or edit your personal information online on the Microsoft Career site. If you did not create an online profile, you may request changes by filling out our online feedback form.
